Orbi keeps one number per pool: what was sold to him in the last few minutes, minus what was bought from him. It fills with every trade and digests by one thousandth of the pool a block, toward zero, never past it.
Right now the crowd has been selling to him. So selling costs $7 per $1,000 and buying costs $1. When his belly empties, both go back to $3.
